Stewardship Series at City Church
We have begun a new Sunday sermon series on Stewardship, and the first two installments have been done by Aaron Gray and Jim Strutz. Aaron reminded us that our time on this planet does not belong to us. It is merely a loan from God, and we are responsible to use the time we have in a way that pleases him. Jim continues with the idea and shows us how we are uniquely made and uniquely gifted, and how those gifts enable us to gracefully do the tasks he gives us.

City Life
I am excited to tell you about a recent City Church communications improvement -- a newsletter named City Life. You can see it by following this link to the PDF document. We designed it so you can read it online or print it out. We’ll have a limited number of copies of the newsletter at the information counter for a few weeks for those with limited Internet access.
Here’s what you’ll find in the September 2010 issue
Small Group Season is here
Life
Technology Update
Mom’s Club Beacon Hill: A Light in a Dark Place
Vineyard Early Learning Center Opens
New Direction Resource Center: back in session
Pastor’s Corner
Children’s Ministries Update
Calendar (you can also see the calendar on the church website)
I think you’ll be pleased with the work of the newsletter team led by Rachel Irwin. It's a very nice glimpse of some of what is happening at City Church right now. I know Rachel would like to hear from you if you are interested in being involved in future editions, and she would be pleased to have your suggestions for improving future issues. You can contact her at rachirwin31@yahoo.com
Blessings.....David

Looking For A Way To Serve?
City Church has openings in the Van Ministry. This is a wonderfully practical way to minister. This ministry involves providing transportation for people in need of assistance getting to and from church services. The church provides the vehicle and there is no special drivers license required. To volunteer or find out more information please contact A.Z. Suarez at 344-2141.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with the greeting & ushering duties for our Sunday services. Volunteers will serve on a Welcome Team normally one Sunday service about every 4 or 5 weeks. This is a great way to meet folks, plug into the ACC family and to be an important part of this vital ministry. Please contact Harry McFarland at 947-8187 or the church office at 344-2141 if you have questions. Teens are also welcome.
