Stewardship Series at City Church
We have begun a new Sunday sermon series on Stewardship, and the first two installments have been done by Aaron Gray and Jim Strutz. Aaron reminded us that our time on this planet does not belong to us. It is merely a loan from God, and we are responsible to use the time we have in a way that pleases him. Jim continues with the idea and shows us how we are uniquely made and uniquely gifted, and how those gifts enable us to gracefully do the tasks he gives us.

We designed it so you can read it online or print it out. We’ll have a limited number of copies of the newsletter at the information counter for a few weeks for those with limited Internet access.
Here’s what you’ll find in the September 2010 issue

I think you’ll be pleased with the work of the newsletter team led by Rachel Irwin. It's a very nice glimpse of some of what is happening at City Church right now. I know Rachel would like to hear from you if you are interested in being involved in future editions, and she would be pleased to have your suggestions for improving future issues. You can contact her at rachirwin31@yahoo.com

Looking For A Way To Serve?
City Church has openings in the Van Ministry. This is a wonderfully practical way to minister. This ministry involves providing transportation for people in need of assistance getting to and from church services. The church provides the vehicle and there is no special drivers license required. To volunteer or find out more information please contact A.Z. Suarez at 344-2141.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with the greeting & ushering duties for our Sunday services. Volunteers will serve on a Welcome Team normally one Sunday service about every 4 or 5 weeks. This is a great way to meet folks, plug into the ACC family and to be an important part of this vital ministry. Please contact Harry McFarland at 947-8187 or the church office at 344-2141 if you have questions. Teens are also welcome.

Beth Moore - Here&Now...There&Then (Ladies Bible study)

Here and Now...There and Then by Beth Moore is a lecture series on the book of Revelation. Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal.
Each of the 11 week/sessions is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and the cost is $20.00 for materials.
There are 3 schedules to choose from and the times and dates are as follows; and remember that there are 11 sessions for 11 weeks total:
1. Tuesday Nights start Sept. 7th @ 6:30-8:30
2. Friday Mornings start Sept. 10th @ 9:30am-12pm
3. Wednesday Mornings start Sept. 15th @ 9:30am – 12pm
This will give you an opportunity to dig into God's Word and gain prayer support from other women that will be taking the study as well. We are excited about this study and we hope to see you there.
