Alpha!

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. More than 13 million around the world have been through ALPHA to date. Each session, people enjoy food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

Each evening consists of dinner, a short talk and small group discussion. It's a perfect way to invite family and friends to learn more about Jesus. Starts Sunday March 14 at 6:30 PM at ACC and runs through May 23. The course is free, but donations are suggested to defray the costs of food and childcare.

Please sign up at the welcome / information center in the foyer or email the church office acc@accchurch.org with your name and age!

ALPHA: A Practical Introduction to the Christian Faith

ALPHA logoIs there more to life? ALPHA helps people investigate the "yes!' of the Christian faith in a friendly, no-pressure environment with family-style meals, lesson and laughter, dessert and discussion. It's perfect for inviting friends and family to learn about Jesus and the Christian faith.

ALPHA is for:

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.

ALPHA starts Sunday evening, March 14, and continues Sunday evenings through late May with a retreat weekend. There is no cost, but the ALPHA team suggests donations each week to defray the cost of meals and childcare.

Here's what happens at ALPHA: There is a series of talks on topics such as:
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how should I pray?
  • What about the Holy Spirit?
  • How can I overcome evil?
  • Why and how should I tell others?
  • Does God heal today?
  • About about the Church?

You can read more about the course on the ALPHA USA website. More information is available at the Welcome / Information desk in the ACC church foyer. If you are interested, please register by sending an email with your name(s) and phone number to acc@accchurch.org
