The Alaska House of Prayer is a mission base organization that is committed to praying for the release of the fullness of God’s power and purpose for the state of Alaska. We are individuals who have responded to the call of God to live a lifestyle of intercession and to engage the Body of Christ to pray. We are not part of a specific denomination but consider ourselves to be a part of the global body of Christ, which is comprised of all sincere followers of Jesus. We are an Alaska-focused ministry that directly and indirectly serves the people and regions of Alaska through prayer and outreach.

AK International House of Prayer Monday Evenings @ ACC

The Alaska International House of Prayer (IHOP) is now established and meeting in the Anchorage City Church auditorium on Monday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Currently IHOP is holding a weekly two hour prayer meeting with the intention to expand hours in the future. The meeting is open to all believers and all denominations. Child care is available on Mondays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The vision for the House of Prayer is to gather God's people together as one church to pray and seek the Lord that the fullness of His power and purposes will be released in the earth. We desire to work with the unified Body of Christ to serve the great commission as we seek to walk out the two great commandments to love God and love people.

For more information contact Sherry Laurie or Paula Gray via the ACC church office (344-2141).

National Day of Prayer May 7

When: May 7 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Where: City Church (Minnesota and 100th). We plan to pray on the lawn in front of the church, weather permitting. If the weather is terrible, we can pray in the auditorium. You can bring lawn chairs if it is difficult to stand while you pray.
What to bring: Bring your banners, voices, prayers, scriptures to pray and proclaim
Who: Everyone is invited, not just for City Church members; the entire body of Christ is welcome. This is a time of prayer… not a time of fellowship
How: Prayer Guidelines are available on the National Day of Prayer Website
Please note… this is a time to pray for our churches, city, state and nation… we encourage those who come to pray the Word for these areas. This is not a time for personal ministry or prayers for individual requests.
